Every story has a soundtrack.

For me, many of life's most significant moments seemed to have a Beatles song somewhere in the background.

When I began writing Ah, Look at All the Lonely People, I found myself returning to those songs again and again. Not simply for nostalgia, but because they captured emotions and experiences that words alone sometimes struggle to express.

As the manuscript developed, each chapter found its own song.

Some titles reflected hope. Others reflected loss, resilience, regret, love, loneliness, or renewal. Together, they became more than chapter names. They became signposts through the journey.

From Eleanor Rigby to Here Comes the Sun, each chapter title draws inspiration from a Beatles song that resonated with the themes explored in that part of the book.

To deepen the experience, I created a companion Spotify playlist featuring the songs that inspired the chapters. A QR code printed inside the book provides direct access to the playlist, allowing readers to listen as they read if they choose.

The music is not required to enjoy the book.

The memoir stands on its own.

But for those who wish to immerse themselves more fully in the journey, the soundtrack offers another layer of connection to the memories, reflections, and emotions that shaped these pages.
